Mick, a.k.a. the Hairy Wonder, is the man who can talk his way into or out of any kind of trouble you can imagine. He can also multi-task to beat the band. Besides which the combination of long-haired, folk-guitar Mass loving nut and a hyper-traditional TLM Nuptial Mass is just irresistible!

(Also... his hair is longer than the bride and groom's put together!)

Chief bridesmaid and organiser extraordinaire! No wedding is complete without one!! ;-)

Sheena may be great at organising stuff (which will definitely come in handy in the months leading up to the wedding) but her talents don't just stop there... She's also a great friend, a great listener and a great support in so many different ways. She, just, like, totally rocks!!! (And she knows when is the appropriate time to provide chocolate...)

A friend and colleague who gives the impression of being fearsomely intelligent and well-read (which he is, by the way) and is thought by some to be terribly serious. He isn't, it's just that he will wind you up with a completely straight face! Anyway, we've assigned himself and Kirsten as opposite numbers so that they can keep each other out of trouble!

My housemate of the past three and a half years, Kirsten is the token Norwegian of the bridal party (every wedding party should have one!)... I'm sure that she will be dazzling us all with her beautiful plumage -- though hopefully it won't clash with the bridesmaids dresses!

The Pride of Patrickswell who is a fellow veteran of Chartres, the Bealach and sundry exercises in Holy Lunacy. He is also a good friend and can keep his head when all about are losing theirs ... mostly ladies losing theirs due to his charm, it has to be said. He is, however, nothing if not a gentleman.

Pauline, alias Po, alias Philomena, is the most recent addition to the Bridal Hit-Squad, having stepped into the breach when Gemma was unavoidably detained (think forcibly transported to the far-side of the planet!). Anyhoo, Po most graciously agreed to step in and lend her own unique blend of style and lunacy to the proceedings!

Not just my brother but my biggest brother! He's the sensible, mature one of the five Gaines lads ... not! He is however the one who always gets asked "so, you're Éamonn's younger brother then?" Having passed the big 40, maybe he doesn't mind it so much nowadays ...

The best auntie, I mean NIECE, that anyone could ask for!

My favourite niece will be keeping all the other bridesmaids in check, offering fashion tips and piano lessons, and just in general making sure everyone behaves themselves... :-D
